TRAVEL BOOTHS
As part of the 8th grade curriculum, the students learn about the formation of the states in the United States. After learning about the different states, they are to make a travel booth to represent their state. They also make a travel brochure where they discuss the history of the state and exciting things to do if you were to travel to that state.
We then display the travel booths in the school cafeteria and all of the students from the school come to see their creations. The students give a mini presentation, hand out brochures, and sometimes hand out goodies that represent their state. For instance, one group had Hawaii and they gave out pieces of pineapple to everyone.
